Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. At LoanVerity, we primarily use browser localStorage rather than traditional HTTP cookies. localStorage serves a similar purpose — remembering your preferences — but the data never leaves your browser and is never sent to any server.

How We Use Storage

All data stored by LoanVerity lives in your browser's localStorage. We do not use server-side cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of cross-site tracking.

We store: your theme preference (light/dark mode), last calculator inputs between visits, saved calculation scenarios (max 5), cookie consent preferences, and recent search queries (last 3).

The only third-party cookie is from Formspree (session cookie, required for contact form functionality).

Managing Your Preferences

You can manage your preferences at any time by clearing your browser data for this site. In Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings. In Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data. In Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data. In Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

Your browser may also support the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which LoanVerity respects by automatically opting out of non-essential storage.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service that may set a cookie is Formspree, which processes our contact form submissions. This is a session cookie required for the form to function.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our use of browser storage. Material changes will be noted on this page.
