Our Editorial Mission

LoanVerity's editorial mission is to provide accurate, transparent, and unbiased financial calculator tools that help users make informed decisions. Every calculator, formula, and piece of educational content is built with mathematical precision and reviewed for clarity.

We believe financial tools should be free, accessible, and trustworthy. That's why all our calculators run directly in your browser — the math is visible, auditable, and never hidden behind servers.

Our Review Process

Every calculator on LoanVerity follows a rigorous validation process. Our review board includes professionals with backgrounds in finance, mathematics, and consumer education.

Our review process includes: verifying formulas against industry-standard mathematical models, cross-checking outputs against public loan amortization benchmarks, reviewing all explanatory copy for accuracy and clarity, and ensuring calculators handle edge cases (zero interest, maximum terms, minimum amounts) correctly.

How We Validate Formulas

The primary formula used across our calculators is the standard PMT amortization formula: M = P × [r(1 + r)^n] / [(1 + r)^n − 1]. This is the same mathematical model used by banks, credit unions, and federal student loan servicers to calculate fixed monthly payments.

Where: P = principal loan amount, r = monthly interest rate (APR ÷ 12), n = total number of monthly payments. We validate outputs by comparing against known benchmarks, testing edge cases (0% APR, minimum and maximum terms), and verifying the amortization schedule's running balance reaches zero at payoff.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

LoanVerity does not accept payment from lenders to feature specific rates or products in our calculators. Default interest rates shown are market averages and can be adjusted by the user to match real offers.

We may participate in affiliate marketing programs where we earn commissions from qualifying actions on linked services. Affiliate relationships never influence our calculator logic, default values, or educational content. All affiliate links are clearly identified.

Privacy Commitment

All loan calculations happen entirely in your browser. We never collect, store, or transmit your financial data to any server. This architectural choice is deliberate — your numbers are yours alone. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Corrections Policy

If you find an error in our calculations or content, we want to fix it promptly. Please contact us through the form on our Loan Calculator page. All corrections are reviewed by our editorial team and published with a note indicating what was updated and when.

Editorial Independence

LoanVerity maintains complete editorial independence. No advertiser, partner, or affiliate has input into the design of our calculators, the formulas we use, or the educational content we publish. Our tools are built to serve users first.
